Gervinho completes Roma move

A Ligue 1 and Coupe de France double followed in 2011 and he was identified by Wenger as the player to add goals and pace to his frontline. Gervinho started last season in fantastic form, scoring five goals in the opening seven games before travelling to represent his country at the African Cup of Nations. Roma finished sixth in Serie A last season but have had a busy summer in the transfer market, with Gervinho the 13th addition to Rudi Garcia’s squad. Announcing his departure on their website, Arsenal said: “Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Gervinho for his contribution to the club and wish him well for his future career.” Arsenal have confirmed the sale of Ivory Coast forward Gervinho to Roma.center_img The 26-year-old found first-team football hard to come by last season and was limited to mostly appearing from the bench for the Gunners. Police officer accidentally shoots son after mistaking him for an intruder

first_imgA Dallas Police office’s adult son his recovering in the hospital after his father mistook him for an intruder and shot him.The incident occurred around 6 p.m Saturday near DeSoto.When authorities arrived to the home, they found the victim bleeding from his right forearm.The victim was then taken to an area hospital for treatment on the non-life-threatening injury.Authorities say that they are continuing to investigate the incident, however, no arrest have been made and no charges have been filed.“The DeSoto Police Department has treated this like every other case that we would have had and we would’ve handled it the exact same way that if any charges are appropriate later on, they’ll be forwarded over to the DA’s office for them to make a decision,” Pete Schulte, DeSoto police spokesman said.The names of the two parties involved have not yet been released.last_img read more
